It’s been ages since I’ve posted anything. I’ve spent the last year working intensely with graphic design and illustrations. So, now my monsters have gotten a serious upgrade, and a new style I guess!

This monster is a little scared. However, it is determined to unlock it’s powers and to be a MONSTER success!

How to Kill a Monster

You know you have a lot of things that you would like to throw out/kill/explode, right? Before you start running around like a crazy desperate chicken with a vacuum cleaner/baseball bat/dynamite, you must be pretending to be Sherlock Holmes looking for hidden monsters that are causing you trouble. Yes.

There are a few things you should know about these mysterious monsters. Monsters are usually hiding where you never thought they would. They’re also quite unpredictable, and can show up anywhere, anytime. You would probably want to kill the monster with a chainsaw or a fly-swatter, depending on the size of the monster. You would also want to just throw it out. BUT, as in all fairytales there is only one way, and one way only: The monster will only die once you look it into its eyes and say: “I’m not afraid of you”.

Once it dies, the spirit of the monster will continue to live inside of you happily ever after, only now in a much stronger version, a much stronger current.

When love hurts the most, it’s because a monster has rented a place inside of you.

A monster that removes all need of food
A monster that grabs a huge piece of your heart, for it to be gone forever
A monster that makes you want to stay in bed for weeks
A monster that makes you not wanna help the old lady across the street
A monster that wants you dead

How long will the monster be renting this place, before the new monster that gives you strength will check in?

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess, a castle, and a prince. They met and.. Zzzzzzzz…

We’ll try again:

Once upon a time, there was a carrot, a princess, 50 soldiers, and a pink monster.

Which beginning is the most interesting to you? I thought I wanted the story about the princess and the happy ending. But I am bored. I want to hear the story about the pink monster and the princess. But that’s not what I thought I wanted. Then what do I want?

I think I want what I want. But when I get what I want, I don’t want it. So, I don’t want what I thought I wanted, but I want what I don’t want – or what I didn’t expected.

I want what I don’t expect to happen. I want honesty when I don’t expect honesty. I want love when I don’t expect love. I want help when I don’t expect help.

The Dalai Lama puts it just right: “Remember that not getting what you want, is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.”

We’ve all heard the stories about the beautiful tooth fairy who likes childrens teeth and gives you money as a reward. I know that this might feel as if I told you Santa doesn’t exist, but I’m afraid that you’ve never heard the true story about the tooth fairy. Before you read the entire story, let me tell you that next time you go to sleep with a tooth under your pillow, you’ll not be watching out for a pretty young woman. (sorry)

Santa go home – the weather knows it all

Have you ever met one of those over hysterical “I’m-so-happy-it’s-my-birthday” kind of people? It’s those kind of people running around in parks smiling, singing happy love songs, and cheering loud in competition with the birds, while flashing their teeth in a “I got presents and birthday greetings today, and you didn’t” kind of way for everyone. That’s me. (Psst.. I have an added “bonus”: I also eat ice cream in front of small monster kids).

Well, today I’m happy and you know why? The weather on my birthday determines whether I’ve been a good or bad girl. And luckily the weather showed me that I’ve been a VERY good girl this year. Phew, that was a relief…..

So, Santa go home! Only the weather really knows if you’ve been a good or bad girl.

I think the monster wants ice cream too.

Where did my matching sock go?!

I wonder why my matching socks always disappear and leave me with only one sock with purple hearts on!? I did some heavy research with a friend of mine on this very serious matter, and came to the conclusion that… oh. wait. A go-getter or a go-better?

“Come on, you can do it!” they insistently growled at me. “There’s nothing to be afraid of” they continued. At one point I wondered if this was some weird setup for a Nike commercial. Or maybe they’ve started educating weird-looking animals as coaches!?

Nonetheless, I REALLY want to touch that shiny thing on the sky, so that I can be as happy as they seem to be (hmm!?). Just seems like my foot isn’t big enough.

Well, when writing this I know that there is another way. My way! The high way! The only way to find my own shiny thing!

D is for Dogs and Dinosaurs

What would you do if you saw a 525 times bigger dinosaur than you? Yes exactly.

I’ve heard that a dog is a good company if you feel lonely, sad, depressed, scared, ugly or hungry. What I didn’t know was that dogs like dinosaurs. BIG ONES!

So, try to avoid walking your dog on the country side or in dinosaur parks. I think my dog would have wanted me to know that…
